My family thought this recipe was wonderful. We'll definitely have it, once more & again. I used fat-gratuitous sour cream, depression fatty mozzarella and footing sirloin. I was concerned that the outcome would exist bland because tomato sauce, spinach and sour foam don't have much taste. As a issue, I flavored the hamburger with Accent, garlic table salt and onion pulverization equally it browned. That's the only change that I fabricated. I served information technology with salad and garlic breadstuff. Thanks, KDB for a not bad recipe!

I followed many of the reviewers' suggestions, and used 24 oz of tomato sauce, added dashes of garlic common salt, Italian seasonings, and footing black pepper. Information technology however tasted sort of bland, and I think that is because I used unseasoned love apple sauce. I then added some oregano and nigh 1/4 cup of chianti, and I really liked the taste. I blended all the ingredients so topped with the cheese. I used a mixture of equal parts mozzarella, cheddar jack and crumbled feta. Everyone in the family loved it, simply my husband thought it needed a bit more zing, and he suggested adding some sliced black olives and maybe some diced tomatoes. I'chiliad non so certain about the tomatoes, simply I recollect the olives would requite it the perfect gustatory modality. I'll attempt that side by side fourth dimension!

I really liked this recipe. I chose it because I wanted to get rid of some stuff in the fridge. I concluded upward using spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce, quesadilla cheese and cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella, and I even used canned spinach (well drained)instead of frozen because that is what I had. I used more than a cup of cheese because I dearest cheese. It ended upwards being a real condolement food, not fancy but warm and cheesy. I really liked it and my fiance did besides.

I made this a second time last night (forgot to review afterwards the first time) and it came out awesome. I modified information technology simply a little - I browned onion & garlic with the ground beef. For seasoning I used 1tbsp Italian seasoning instead of the thyme. In addition to the sauce I added a tin can of diced love apple. I did utilise the sour cream. I used fresh spinach (matter of preference, shouldn't change the season) and I put that in with the beef & sauce earlier adding to the oven pan. I used a mix of mozzarella & cheddar to use up open packages of each. Used shells (can't detect w.due west.bow tie pasta). We loved it with these modifications, we constitute it dry & banal otherwise. Hope you like it :)
10/28/2012
I totally revamped this recipe following many of the other suggestions. I added onion, garlic, mushrooms, a jar of pasta sauce, blackness olives, basil, oregano, black pepper. I left out the sour cream, although would like to try it next time and I cut down the corporeality of pasta. I mixed all ingredients together except for ane cup of cheese, which I placed on top. I baked this for 25 minutes. This was a saucy and delicious recipe that could handle virtually any kind of variation.
02/27/2006
I thought this was a neat & easy recipe (my husband even approved). I did brand some minor adjustments. I added italian seasoning instead of the tyme forth with common salt & pepper. I also added some crumbled feta cheese along with the mozzarella which gave it a slap-up flavor. Finally, I cooked it the unabridged time with tin foil on summit to prevent it from drying out. The just thing I would change would be to add at least ane/2 can more of tomato sauce to requite you a piddling something to dip your garlic breadstuff in!
10/04/2008
This is definitely comfort nutrient. I added a little more tomato sauce, some onions, garlic, and Italian seasoning based on the other reviews. It was still a little underseasoned for our tastes, simply I can suit that when I make information technology again.
11/03/2010
This is the kickoff fourth dimension I've e'er cooked with frozen spinach. I changed the tomato sauce to a thick, chunk spaghetti sauce. I'k makin a conscience try to include more vegetables into our dinners. This did the trick and everyone loved it!
02/19/2007
I doubled up on this recipe and gave i pan to a friend... and we were surprised at how practiced it was! I used low fatty yogurt instead of sour cream, and grated nacho cheese blend instead of mozzerella... but it was admittedly amazing! I'd suggest mixing all the ingredients except the cheese together likewise... and then pour it in a dish sprinkle the cheese on and broil until the cheese is pretty =)
08/23/2010
I made this on the stove-top because I don't have an oven, so it didn't look as good as the pic but it was delicious and sooo easy! Great for a weeknight.

Rita's Spinach Casserole Haiku: "Won't make this over again. Can't salve the leftovers. Thought it'd be improve." I halved the recipe (glad that I did) and used spirals instead of bowties, and even added onion, garlic and bong pepper to the beef, and additional Italian Seasoning, per every review calling this banal. The about unappealing thing was the putrid shade of pinkish that the sour foam gave to the tomato sauce/meat mixture, not to mention the fact that it was still low on the flavor meter. Maybe mixing everything together, rather than layering the evidently noodles and plain spinach effectually the simply flavorful ingredients would've helped, but every bit written, this recipe'due south a dud.
11/29/2010
Faster to brand than a lasagna and just every bit expert.
12/07/2012
OOOOOOO! Yummy! Love information technology. I am depression carbing information technology a bit and then I shredded cabbage, boiled for 5 minutes and substituted it for the pasta. AND, I thought I had spinach in my freezer BUT it was broccoli, so I used broccoli instead. Wonderful!! I will definitely make this recipe again.
02/xix/2013
If you r kids don't like spinach, don't put the layer of spinach on top. Mix information technology in with the sauce! Harder to spot the "green stuff" that style! :-)
10/27/2011
I concur to reviewer's comments such as adding onion, garlic, more Italian seasoning, etc. I used i 1/4 C. sour cream along with one small can of tomato sauce and ane tin can undiluted tomato soup. Not dry at all. I mixed the pasta, ground turkey, sauce, soup, seasoning and half of the spinach. Dear the green color on top west/ the cheese with some spinach mixed in. Totally tasteful and makes a lot! Thanks sooooo much. My hubby rated information technology a "14". It IS comfort food.
02/17/2012
I was excited to make this, but then reading all the reviews about how banal it was, I almost changed my mind. I don't want to exist yelled at for changing the recipe, just I always work information technology a little to make it better. First, I added chopped garlic and onion (ever add that if the recipe doesn't phone call for it) dried basil and orgegano in addition to the thyme. Then I added the pasta to the beef mixture, only a fresh spinach and arugula mix on superlative (cooked it downwardly start), and then the cheese and baked for 20 minutes. Information technology was fantastic!
10/08/2010
My 8 year old said spinach is "Awesome!" so we'll definitely be making this over again. But tomato plant sauce is rather bland and 15 oz. of tomato sauce is non enough sauce, and then adjacent time I'll utilize spaghetti sauce and turkey sausage instead of basic basis beefiness to kick it up a bit. Too, I might mix the spinach in with the lycopersicon esculentum/meat mixture for ameliorate distribution.
08/02/2012
Utilize spicy Italian sausage instead of beef and add a lot more than Italian spices! Try calculation more sauce next time. Then it is skillful. Mix the cheese into the pasta instead of on peak. It would exist much too bland otherwise.
07/10/2012
I was looking for a fashion to use upward the remainder of the 4th of July hamburger -- this was really good! Simple, straightforward ingredients. I would add garlic & onion, possibly tomatoes west/green chilies for some extra punch, but it was great as-is, and is going in "the volume" at my house!
05/15/2006
this was boilerplate. Needs a few special touches to spice it upward a little.
11/04/2005
A delicious recepie! It really does disguise the spinach flavor. It'due south very easy to throw together at the last minute, and the casserole could even be prepared in advance, then thrown in the over for 20 minutes more. I browned the meat with salt, pepper, and garlic, and then added merely the sour cream and sauce. I used a full jar of Ragu sauce, and information technology wasn't likewise much, at least for our tastes. A succulent and very customizable meal - Cheers!
01/07/2012
Very practiced! I added a 15 oz can of chopped tomatoes with green chilies to the tomatoe sauce to give information technology more than flavor, and used a one pound box of rotini pasta considering that is what I had. My children fifty-fifty liked this -- what a slap-up way to contain spinach into their nutrition. :-)
02/nineteen/2013
I also did some major modifications. I used ground turkey breast (seasoned with garlic / onion powder, basil, oregano, thyme) instead of ground beefiness, and fresh spinach. Instead of sour cream, (even reduced /fat gratuitous sour cream would be prefered), I used low fatty office skim ricotta cheese and mixed chopped fresh spinach into it, then spread it over the meat.
03/06/2012
What a Hitting! I know my hubby loves a dish when he says "You can make this whatever time!" And he said just that -- over and over! The just change I fabricated was using ground turkey instead of beef. Hubby said this reminded him of lasagna. mmmm
02/12/2012
My family unit thought this was actually good. I did a few things unlike. I used a 28oz can of tomato sauce instead. I added (nearly a tsp of each) basil, oregeno, & italian seasoning and most a half tsp of garlic powder, pepper and reddish pepper flakes. I would definately make this again.
03/12/2013
Great base for a recipe. Followed this only fabricated some slap-up changes. Used ground turkey instead of beefiness. Also caramelized some onions on the side and then added them to the cooked ground turkey along with fresh minced garlic. I doubled the lycopersicon esculentum sauce similar someone said and added some Italian seasoning and information technology was perfect. I ended up mixing all of the ingredients together including the spinach and pasta before I put it in the blistering dish then sprinkled the cheese on top. Completely forgot the sour foam but in the finish it was perfect without it. My boyfriend loved it and put some Parmesan cheese on his dish which added to the flavour! Volition definitely make over again.
09/01/2009
This recipe has a keen framework for customizing to your sense of taste. Instead of using the lycopersicon esculentum sauce and sour cream I finished upwards things I had in the fridge. I added about a loving cup of balmy salsa and three/4s of a jar of cheesy ragu. I used probably a little less than a cup of plain yogurt and a 1lb. bag of fresh spinach, added almost 1/3 at a time. I just allow information technology simmer on the stove for a while so sprinkled mozzarella on the individual servings.
12/04/2007
This was pretty good. I left out the sour foam. I did add together parmesan to the mixture and I mixed everything together. I browned the meat with an onion for more than flavour too. Turned out so expert. Oh and I only left information technology in the oven for 20 minutes since everything was already hot and the last 5 minutes I had information technology on broil to brown upwardly the mozzarella.
08/xi/2015
Loved this ! Based on reviews, I used Classico Spicy Tomato and Basil spaghetti sauce in place of plain tomato sauce and it gave it the perfect zing. Also added mushrooms, just because we honey them. Will make again and over again. Thanks for sharing !
01/07/2012
I made it last nighttime because I had everything in the house and was very disappointed...very bland and would not make it again!
05/ten/2007
Substituted portabello veggie patties for meat and seasoned everything with italian seasoning, salt, and fresh ground pepper.

Just a fancy hamburger helper, not very adept
02/23/2013
Made this last night but, doctored information technology up A lot. I sauteed some onions & garlic in olive oil so added & browned & tuckered hamburger. I and so added jar of our fav spaghetti sauce...I always add some "Pampered Chef" Italian seasoning, nuance of garlic salt. I then mixed in a Lg bowl hamburger mixture with sauce, 8oz sour cream, thawed chopped spinach & cooked bow-tie pasta. Poured half mixture in 13x9 glass dish and so added 1/2 cheese on top and repeated. Baked as for time stated. Served with salad & garlic bread. This was an entire family unit pleasure and I take the pickiest eater in the world at my house...lol The original version is simply as well bland for my family unit...we similar more flava :)
06/24/2010
I followed the advise of others and added onions, garlic , garlic salt and italion seasoning while the beef was cooking and information technology turned out bang-up. I'll add more cheese next fourth dimension 'cuz we're cheezy people. Great recipe for a quick dinner. Just baked it for nearly 10mins to melt the cheese.
03/29/2015
Actually delicious, quick recipe for dinner. Family unit loved it. I used a garden spaghetti sauce instead of tomato plant sauce for a little more than veggies and flavor.
02/17/2012
This was good! I made this with no table salt added tomato plant sauce. Side by side fourth dimension I will try regular tomato sauce and peradventure a little extra hot sauce.
03/08/2007
My hubby actually liked this, merely I thought information technology was simply okay. I think it could apply some additions, such as onions or garlic. I used Ricotta Parmesean Pasta Sauce and I can't decide if that helped or hindered the recipe. I also used fresh spinach instead of frozen, so I don't know if that made a difference. I did similar the combination of pasta sauce and sour cream, though.
05/29/2018
This is great and even amend with a few changes. Afterward making it a few times as written I started using Italian sausage instead of footing beef which fabricated a huge difference. Not bland at all. I use pasta sauce instead of plain tomato sauce and fresh spinach which I wilt in the sausage/pasta sauce. I spread a layer of foam cheese and sour cream over the pasta, dot the top of that with blackness olive halves and meridian with the sausage/pasta mix, then add the cheese on acme. Succulent! Cheers for an splendid recipe!
11/07/2017
I made this with spinach, sausage, diced tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms and shredded cheese.... I merely had rotini pasta in so it had to practise... lol
02/27/2013
With a few changes this was very proficient only would be manner besides dry with only 15 oz. of sauce. I used 28 oz. and information technology needed more. I added chopped onion & garlic while browning the ground beefiness. When I added the sauce I added Italian seasoning & black pepper along with the thyme. Sour foam really makes the sauce very good and different. I may use a tin can of mushroom soup quondam. I used two cups of cheese. I honey the spinich! I made this the night before and so it was already to pop in the oven when I got home from work. Volition be making this again. Thanks.
09/06/2006
Another reviewer described this as "condolement food," and I completely concur. I substituted Italian sausage for the footing beef and used enough of mixed Italian seasonings in place of the thyme, all of which gave information technology a fleck of a kicking. A very skilful base recipe.
11/18/2014
I was searching here for something with spinach and spaghetti sauce and this fit the pecker! I followed closely to the recipe, except I stirred the pasta, spinach & my homemade sauce together and so sprinkled with mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese. I forgot to add together the sour cream, merely it didn't really need it.. This was really expert and my spicy spaghetti sauce helped make it a flavorful dish.
02/24/2015
I used less spinach (my family doesn't love spinach). Information technology worked out to be approx i/2 C in one case defrosted. I added 1/2pkg sliced mushrooms and cooked them with the basis beef, along with a dash of salt and pepper and dehydrated onion. Too, I mixed the spinach in the sauce right before putting information technology in the casserole pan to "hide" some of the spinach.
11/08/2017
Unless I'thou following a recipe for baked goods, I apply near recipes as guidelines and not absolutes. I made this dish for dinner tonight and made a couple of modifications to suite my gustatory modality. Turned out delicious! I cooked i/2 lb. footing beefiness, 1/4 lb. Johnsonville Spicy Italian Sausage, a small diced onion, and about 4 cloves of garlic in a pan. Seasoned with common salt, pepper, Italian seasoning.one thousand Turned off oestrus and melted in eight oz. of whole milk Ricotta cheese. Stirred in a jar of Classico Traditional Sugariness Basil spaghetti sauce. Turned estrus to low and in batches, added most of a 10 oz. bag of pre washed baby Spinach until wilted. Tasted information technology to make sure it didn't need more than salt and pepper. Cooked my bow tie pasta to al dente, drained and added the meat sauce to that. Poured in a 9x11 casserole dish and topped with shredded Parmagiano Reggiano and Mozzarella cheeses. Baked with foil fifteen minutes and and then without foil for x minutes more than. Delicious! Thanks for the inspiration!
05/25/2013
Far too bland and dry out. I would follow some of the other reviewers' suggestions as this is a good start, but needs some major help.
01/26/2015
Non very tastyt. Dry and banal.
06/13/2016
I used medium trounce pasta (because that's what I had on manus), I likewise replaced the thyme with half a parcel of taco seasoning, and last I used fresh spinach instead of frozen. It was delicious!!! I will definitely go far again. My married man loved it.
01/24/2015
Except for the thyme overpowering the flavors, it was kind of bland. Possibly adding more sauce and omitting the thyme would brand information technology sense of taste better?
02/09/2017
I made this last night but decided to change a few things. For one, I used ground turkey and sugariness turkey Italian sausage. Then I added in some cherry, green and orange bell peppers (diced), basil, thyme, salt and pepper. I forgot to add in diced onions but the rest of the flavors went together perfectly, so onion was a luxury not needed in this case. I did not use sour cream this time, I would try it the next time I make it however, I added a little sugar to my tomato sauce to give it a picayune extra sweetness to coincide with the salt, I've e'er loved the combination of a little table salt and carbohydrate.
01/24/2015
I just finished making this casserole to accept to a church building supper tomorrow noon. I'k not sure that I will take information technology as information technology looks nothing like the photo and the meat sauce was banal. Where does the red come from in the photograph? The tomato sauce mixed with the sour cream gave it a disgusting pink sauce - NO Crimson AT ALL. I just promise that the combination of the sauce, spinach and cheese will improve the gustatory modality. I also doubled the recipe and concluded up having to drain about a cup of the sauce off of the meat because it was very soupy. I should have read the reviews first!
11/04/2011
Good. Only DEFINITELY add together more than love apple sauce. WILL be cooking it again though! :)
02/twenty/2013
Was good just adjacent time I think I volition add some more than flavor
05/30/2006
To make it more "Italian" I subsituted Italian sausage and seasoning for the hamburger and thyme. Came out really practiced!
02/03/2009
I thought this was a actually easy to brand but, I should of listened to suggestions it needed more sauce! I did add garlic salt and pepper. I did get my niece to consume spinach!
x/03/2013
Just made this and wow - information technology was astonishing! And so piece of cake, inexpensive, and combines all the things I honey. The changes I made were because I had time to spare, but I would make this exact to the recipe if I wanted a quick meal! I used one lb ground chicken and ane 1/two cups light sour cream and 2 cups light mozzarella cheese to cutting down on fatty. I besides used a whole box of pasta (six cups), a 32 oz jar of 'sausage and peppers' pasta sauce, and added 4 oz of fresh sliced button mushrooms (sauteed with the chicken). To the chicken I added iii cloves fresh crushed sliced garlic, an italian blend seasoning that has marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano and basil. I sauteed a big pocketbook of fresh chopped spinach and so mixed everything together, putting the cheese on top.
04/08/2009
I followed this recipe to a "T" and it definitely is not a keeper. Lamentable Rita.
07/06/2013
This was corking! The but thing I'd change is to maybe use another 8 oz can of tomato sauce.
03/21/2012
I fabricated this and everyone at home ooohed and aaahed about this dish. Was very tasty and volition definately make this again and once more. Keep the recipes coming. Dear this site. Liz
03/16/2015
I fabricated this with fresh spinach and footing turkey instead of the frozen spinach and ground beef. It turned out great! This is definitely a quick and easy recipe that goes down in the athenaeum.
08/22/2006
I added some extra basis beef (spiced with garlic, basil, thyme and oregano) and used whole wheat pasta. The spinach does wonders for presentation and my mom topped hers with sliced cherry tomatoes.
06/04/2013
Lots of substitutions to use what was on mitt, just came out very good. Used fresh spinach from the garden which I added to the skillet the last couple of minutes to just barely wilt. Didn't accept sauce so I used stewed tomatoes and added onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning. The pasta was rotini and the cheese provolone.
03/21/2013
I have made this recipe twice at present. The offset fourth dimension I made it I followed the recipe to a T. It was skilful but seemed to be lacking something. The 2nd time I made it I used fresh spinach, Italian sausage, and added a tin can of Italian diced Tomatoes. And when I assembled it I stirred all the ingredients together only cheese. Put the cheese on summit and baked. I also added the fresh spinach to the meet and tomato mixture to cook it down some. Fifty-fifty though I made changes to the original recipe I would withal requite it 5 stars.
10/12/2008
Hm I had high hopes for this i because my fridge was kind of bare just I had all the ingredients for this. I hate to say only it was kind of bland. It was too not very attractive and gloopy. Are the people who said it was dandy using pasta sauce instead of apparently tomatoe sauce?
02/04/2015
I made this for the Super Basin but made the following changes: substituted Italian sausage for footing beef, a jar of pasta sauce for the tomato sauce, mixed the spinach in the sauce, used Italian seasoning and added Parmesan cheese to the elevation. It was actually good with those changes
02/19/2013
Used a herb and spice lycopersicon esculentum paste, added light-green peppers, used Italian seasoning instead of thyme, added garlic and black pepper and used tex mex cheese. Very good, could have used cheese in the actual mixture, not just on top, and a fleck spice to the mixture.
05/10/2010
Im giving this 3 stars because although it is a great base recipe, fabricated as is it is very bland. I used one 8ounce can of seasoned tomato sauce and one 14ounce can of diced tomatoes. And you should never cook footing beefiness without seasoning, as it adds a peachy amount of flavor to the dish. I also used two 6 ounce bags of fresh spinach(personal preference)
03/08/2013
Elementary recipe however, seasoning the basis meat with garlic salt, oregano & basil is a must. Otherwise, It may be too bland.
01/31/2015
needs more sauce, use spaghetti sauce.
03/08/2015
Pretty skillful... I used Italian herb seasoning and fresh garlic and added fat gratuitous feta to the mozzarella per other suggestions... The spinach came up to the elevation after baking so you may need more than cheese if you are trying to hibernate the spinach from a loved one :)
01/02/2010
Information technology was okay, but no one wanted the leftovers.
03/thirty/2017
Deplorable! This is one of the worst tasting dishes I have ever made. Not ane ingredient had any flavour. Nothing had any seasoning, non the meat or the spinach. Frozen spinach needs a little assist. The canned tomato plant sauce was then bland and boring, so artificial. Might be because I grew up with home made sauces. I did not care for the taste of the thyme in this dish either. I guess I am more than a "totally from scratch" kind of person. I was very disappointed.
eleven/11/2013
I made this recipe. I and my husband both liked it. But I didn't like the colour after adding the sour cream. Volition try without it once again. Bully style to sneak in spinach though ;). Thanks!
03/10/2017
Nice & tasty recipe and volition make again.
09/15/2006
I thought this recipe was okay only my boys did not like it. I idea it needed more pasta and the spinach was too crunchy. Side by side time I may mix everything instead of layering it.
02/24/2013
Didn't read the reviews before i made this recipe. It was tasteless needs some onions, garlic and other spices
05/27/2013
Loved it equally it was, but also made it a different way that we like even better!! I substituted ground Italian sausage (Johnsonville) for the ground beefiness and information technology is wonderful! I besides utilize fresh spinach instead of frozen. This is a new family unit favorite!!
03/05/2005
delicious and very fast - could apply a fiddling table salt
09/01/2018
Non a smashing flavor, followed recipe verbal. information technology could use a piddling tweaks and be good. Thanks for sharing.
10/18/2007
A great basic recipe. I've made several variances of this, adding things and changing proportions, all of which have turned out great.
01/23/2012
This recipe is a keeper! Super easy, skillful & simple, and what I especially love near it is that most of the ingredients are things you tin can keep on hand. I 86'd the sour foam because we were out and I was too lazy to go to the store! :) I did cook some onions and garlic in a footling olive oil right before browning the beefiness (in the same skillet). Information technology's merely a habit, what I always do when making ground meat for a recipe like this. Brilliant recipe, thank you lot for sharing!
11/09/2017
Followed the recipe to the letter. Information technology turned out actually well. Next I may add together a little salt and onion to the basis beef.
01/18/2022
I enjoyed this, although I read the recipe too fast and only used 3oz of pasta! Ha! It was actually plenty. I also used fresh spinach and not nearly 10oz, subbed Greek yogurt rather than sour foam and used one Tbsp Italian seasoning too. Very nice dinner!
04/04/2019
Based on the many 5 star reviews I fabricated this for dinner concluding dark. I should accept heeded the clarification "quick and succulent way to go kids to consume spinach!" more than closely. It was banal and bromidic and I will not make it again.
02/20/2013
Fabricated it concluding night per directions. 2 thumbs downwardly.
03/03/2013
we loved this meal..i noticed a few had added more sauce as in diced tomatoes, or spaghetti sauce. i agree to add atleast a half loving cup more of sauce. we will me eating this once again.
03/fifteen/2020
bland
03/07/2013
I fabricated this exactly as described and found it to be banal. I idea my young kids (ages vi and 4) would go for the bland flavour merely they complained about the spinach. I'chiliad not likely to effort this over again.
03/01/2013
Would simply repeat the recipe if I used lowfat Italian Sausage instead of basis beef. The meat filling was pretty bland, even with added spices.
02/24/2013
Went out to buy the stuff just to try this. Followed the recipe to the alphabetic character. It was atrocious. Sorry. This is not a keeper.
04/01/2013
Surprisingly adept. I didn't think I'd like it with the sour foam in it but it was really tasty, however next fourth dimension I'd simply add 4oz. I added italian seasoning instead of thyme - If I make it again I'll mix the pasta in with the meat/spinach mixture.
02/22/2013
My husband and I really liked this casserole. I cut upward whole tomatoes from the can instead of tomatoe sauce. I used gouda cheese instead of mozzarella. It was delicious!
07/24/2018
Good way to use up some spinach and ground beef! Kinda similar making your own sauce. I found that the recipe made more than plenty for a 9x9 pan, you probably could carve up it betwixt 2 pans.
02/xix/2021
I used ground turkey instead off beef but information technology came out succulent
05/03/2017
This was really a pretty skillful recipe with the exception that the sauce and noodles need more salt and seasoning because otherwise information technology tastes really banal
06/27/2017
My family liked this alot and I will make it once more. I changed information technology upwards a scrap. I used fresh spinach I added chopped onion and garlic and for the pasta I used the tiny Orecchiette type.My family really likes that considering it adds pasta without taking away from all the other flavors.
04/10/2013
Very good, easy dinner. Definitely needs more sauce. And I mixed in all the sauce instead of layering similar the recipe suggested. Adjacent fourth dimension I will mix in the spinach too so it doesn't dry out out and then much sitting on elevation. But will definitely make again.
02/18/2014
This is yum but I concord with others, maybe less noodles and mix the sauce in. Otherwise it seems unproportionate with all the evidently noodles on the bottom layer.
01/24/2020
I made this with more of a mexican spin considering of what I had on hand..information technology actually turned out super tasty!! My hubby is picky and loved it! I really was in the mood to endeavor something different with hamburger simply was limited on what I had on hand. Here goes...chopped up scarlet onion cooked in olive oil until soft then added hamburger..added plenty of garlic salt, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic salt...cooked until hamburger was done..drained grease..put back in pan added one tin balmy green chilis, one can tomato sauce, one can balmy rotelle tomatos, stirred and cooked all through..did not add together any thyme or any other spice...I only had egg style noodles just they were great and will utilize them again..I olive oiled a 9 10 xi gIass dish, spread cooked noodles out evenly in dish, stirred in 1 package uncooked fresh spinach into the hamburger mixture then poured/spread all evenly over the noodles, and spread a parcel and half of mozzarella cheese evenly over it all...cooked on center rack in oven for 30 min at 350 and honestly it really turned out so pretty! I should have shared a pic! Made a Cesar salad to go with information technology, with olives, Parmesan, croutons and a few tiny tomato's..Information technology was a dainty combo...hope this is helpful just idea my spin was a piffling different than what I had seen then thought I'd share =)
